Day 19: Burqa Avenger

Rika Ashton sent me this. It looks pretty interesting =] I’m happy female education is making steps toward what it’s supposed to be. Even though, ideally it would already be realized.

The article is summarized as “The first animated TV series produced in Pakistan offers a positive role model to counter Taliban opposition to girls’ education.”

This is the article http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/shortcuts/2013/jul/25/burka-avenger-pakistan-cartoon-superhero

and here’s the trailer in English

What do you think?

  1. ANY positive efforts toward equality of education are to be commended, but there’s a bit of a paradox here, terrorizing the terrorists: “She kills extremism and corruption and stops it from breathing” So homicidal violence is OK (and not extremist) as long it wears a burka? Erm. Interesting. I did like the trailer
